Hi, I am Danny Page and I am here on behalf
of Expert Village. In this series I am going
to teach you how to draw basic cartoon characters.
Ok, so we are going to finish up the lower
half of our character here. Now, obviously
there are a lot of different options when
it comes to feet in general. You can give
him bare toes if you wanted to. You can give
him, you know, black shoes and that, to me,
is a lot of times a cop out when it comes
to people who don't want to go into detail
when it comes to their shoes. Or, in our case,
you can give him tennis shoes which basically
we are going to do here. Just basically get
the general shape first and now we are going
to need to apply a little perspective. So,
obviously this looks like nothing right now.
It looks just like two little lumps there.
And, I guess you know some people can get
away with something like that. And, hopefully,
the rest of their character looks interesting
enough most people won't notice. You're gonna
want to try and make every little part of
him as detailed as possible. So, we are going
to give this little guy, the audience, rather,
a little bit of perspective here just bringing
what could be laces or the tops of the shoes
from over the foot's little horizon there.
See, like you're just kind of giving it those
little lines right there helps us to see sort
of the direction that the foot is pointed
in and it helps the shoe take on some shape
in almost like a third dimension of it's own.
So, when you look at the whole drawing from
the pants down to the feet, it just looks
a little bit more complete now. And, that
is shoes.
